Sonic was busy running on the palace running course, once again avoiding his official responsibilities. He laughed to himself as he did so.

Meanwhile Sonic's Mother, Father and adopted Brother's, shadow and Knuckles were with their father. Knuckles, ever the dutiful son was performing his royal duties. Many in the empire Hoped that Knuckles would be the heir, as he was far more responsible and acted like a Prince should.

In the palace, another figure approached Knuckles. It was a lovely, pink-furred she-wolf named Leeta. She and her identical twin sister, Lyco, had been adopted into the royal family as puppies. Now, she looked out at her brother. "He's slacking off again," she said irritably.

Leeta crossed her arms over her chest. "I'm Leeta," she said. It was an ongoing thing that she and Lyco were mistaken for one another.

Lyco looks at shadow and smiles, "Yes why is there some thing wrong with us talking about him? It's not like Sonic can hear us." She said to him with a grin.

Leeta looked at her twin. "It's not that. We're just worried about him. I mean, do we really want him to be emperor after our father if he's lazy?" she asked.

Leeta smiled and then looked at the group. "Well, shall I go and get him? Father needs to know about this latest incident," she said, nodding towards Knuckles.
