This is a selection from my AU Kung Fu Panda fanfic in which Po and Tigress are cubhood pals who became lovers. It is from Tigress' POV. No bashing or flaming please.

A Joyous Day
Today was the day that Po and I would be getting married. I sighed as my bridesmaid and friend since cubhood, a Clouded leopardess named Song, made sure my wedding gown, a stunningly beautiful garment of red and gold silk, was perfectly straight. I was very nervous at the moment.
“I hope everything goes well,” I said.
Song looked at me.
“Tigress, you’re thinking too much,” she said.
I gave her a slight nod, inwardly berating myself for the nervous feelings I was having on what was supposed to be the happiest day of my life. I loved Po with all my heart. He had been my best friend since we were cubs, and the love of my life since I was 17. Just then, my father, Shifu, entered the room.
“Everything is ready, Tigress. All that’s missing is you,” he said.
My heart began to beat rapidly as I bowed to my father and master.
“I’m ready,” I said.
Shifu nodded and motioned for me to follow him. I did so. I was ready to take the next big step in my life. Song followed behind us as we made our way outside to the spot where the wedding was being held. As Shifu led me down the aisle and Song took her place, I caught sight of Po in his wedding robes. I smiled at him as I tried to appear as calm as possible to the crowd from the village who had gathered. I took my place and the ceremony began. First, Po and I exchanged our vows. After that, the ceremony continued until, finally, we were declared husband and wife. Po pulled me close and kissed me, signifying the beginning of our new life together. After the ceremony, a massive feast was held. Mr. Ping had kindly catered the event. We ate until we were full and partied late into the night. Soon enough, it was time for Po and I to go. We left the area and headed back towards the Jade Palace. Po picked me up and carried me over to our destination. We walked beneath the endless diamond sky that was nighttime. He looked into my eyes.
“Wow, Tigress, you look so beautiful,” he said with a proud smile.
He had told me this plenty of times over the four years that we had been romantically involved, but now that we were married, it took on new meaning. The words coming from Po’s mouth took on a whole new level of truth. I purred a purr of pure happiness.
“I love you, Po,” I told him.
“And I love you,” he replied.
And so ended our joyous day and so began our life together.
